Amoeba Music (USA, Los Angeles).

Amoeba Music is one of the largest independent music shops.

The main range is CDs and DVDs. In addition the store offers vinyl records, magazines, books and souvenirs. The shop covers an area of more than 2,000 square metres. - If you want to go shopping, it's worth having a few hours to spare. The shop is frequented by well-known musicians and Hollywood stars. The company has offices in Berkeley and San Francisco.

Rough Trade (London, England)

In 1976, Rough Trade opened a record shop in London's Ledbroke Grove. After almost 40 years, it has become an iconic store. Here you can find CDs for all tastes: pop, rock, techno, country, breakbeat and more.

Rough Trade East is another of the company's shops, located in Shoreditch, East London. It has 5,000 square metres of floor space, which has not only made it easy to put up shelves of CDs, but has also opened a small café and a stage for artists to perform here. Books, sheet music and original T-shirts are also for sale.

Spacehall (Berlin, Germany)

Spacehall is one of the biggest music retailers in Berlin and specialises in electronic music. Here you can even find rare, rarely used records and the latest genre releases. About half of its space (it covers four floors) is devoted to vinyl records, which are sold at a modest price. Spacehall, along with its rival Hard Wax, has become a favourite of Berlin's DJs.

Submerge Records (Detroit, USA)

Despite frequent address changes, Submerge Records (2030 Grand River Detroit) has always been a "mecca" for electronic music fans. Not surprisingly, well-known musicians, hip-hop, techno and funk artists often drop in here. If you catch a celebrity in good spirits, it is appropriate to ask for an autograph and have a chat about the music.

Another Submerge Records shop has opened at 3000 East Grand Boulevard. Here you can visit the Detroit Techno Museum and purchase exclusive vintage pieces.

Mazeeka Samir Fouad (Egypt, Cairo)

A music shop like this is probably the most unique in the world. Its founder and owner is Samir Fouad, an eccentric collector and music lover. The shop offers vinyl records popular in the 1970s and 1980s and a selection of Western and Eastern classical composers. The founder of the vinyl record shop Trade Man Records is renowned rock musician Jack White. The label was founded in 2001 in Detroit, and the company moved to Nashville in 2009. The building is notable for its striking design. The label's facilities include a vinyl record shop, a movie room, a photo studio, an artist performance stage and an analog recording studio.

Tower Records (Japan, Tokyo)

The name of the music label speaks for itself. Tower Records is a nine-storey building filled from top to bottom with modern and classical music gems. There is a café on the first floor and a Dommune music club in the basement. In addition to CDs and DVDs, English-language music books, magazines and newspapers are also available here.
